As the sun dropped down on the western sky
The clouds looked like cotton candy

It made me stop and realize
That our lord is truly handy

To view such beauty each and every day
We're blessed beyond all measure

And it places a picture in our minds
That we can always treasure

As we enjoyed the after glow
Surrounded by the sounds of summer

It reminded me of the day of my youth
Of the memories I'll always treasure

The band at the Oaks played tunes I recall
From the old ballroom at the park.

You could almost smell the caramel corn
and hear the coaster running in the dark

It was truly a step back in time
As we watched ducks landing on the lake

I thank you Lord for a lovely night
Thank you for heavens sake!
